Onboarding walkthrough

The onboarding wizard runs once after your first sign-in. It takes about two minutes and sets up everything you need to start monitoring sites.

Step 1 — Your name

Enter your first name and last name. This is how you'll appear to team members in workspaces you share.

Step 2 — Organisation

Your organisation is the top-level container for everything in Flowpane. For agencies, this is typically your agency name.

  • Organisation name — your company or agency name
  • Data region — where your data is stored (Europe is the default and currently the only active region)

The data region is set once during onboarding. Free, Starter, and Pro plans cannot change it later. Scale and above can request a region migration from workspace settings.

Step 3 — Workspace

A workspace is a group of sites. Many agencies create one workspace per client, or one per team.

  • Workspace name — give it a descriptive name (e.g. "Acme Corp Sites" or "UK Client Portfolio")

You can create additional workspaces later from the workspace switcher in the top bar.

Step 4 — Add sites

Enter the URLs of sites you want to monitor. You can add one or many.

  • Type or paste a URL and press Enter to add it
  • Flowpane accepts URLs with or without https:// — it normalises them automatically
  • Add up to your plan's site limit (1 on Free, 3 on Starter, 10 on Pro, etc.)

Don't worry about getting every site in now — you can always add more later.

Step 5 — Invite team members

Optionally invite colleagues to your workspace. Enter their email addresses and assign a role:

  • Viewer — can see check results but can't run checks or edit anything
  • Editor — can run checks, edit drafts, and manage sites
  • Admin — full control including team management and workspace settings

Invitations are sent by email. Recipients can accept even if they don't have a Flowpane account yet.

You can skip this step and invite people later.

Step 6 — Choose a plan

Select the plan that fits your needs. All plans include governance checks across all seven artifact types.

After onboarding

Once you complete the wizard:

  1. Your sites enter a pending state while Flowpane verifies they're accessible
  2. Verified sites automatically transition to active
  3. Initial governance checks run automatically for each verified site
  4. You're taken to your workspace dashboard where results will appear

The first set of checks typically completes within a few minutes, depending on how many sites you added.
