Platform detection

Flowpane automatically detects the CMS or framework behind each site. This drives platform-specific recommendations.

How detection works

During the first governance check, Flowpane analyses:

• HTML meta tags — the generator meta tag
• Response headers — server and powered-by indicators
• Asset paths — CSS/JS paths indicating specific platforms
• HTML patterns — structural patterns characteristic of specific platforms

Supported platforms

Flowpane recognises over 50 platforms including WordPress, Shopify, Joomla, Drupal, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Ghost, Next.js, Nuxt, Gatsby, and more.

Confidence level

Each detection has a confidence score (0–1). Low-confidence detections are presented as suggestions to verify.

Correcting the platform

If Flowpane detects the wrong platform, change it in the site metadata section. Select Custom / Other for unlisted platforms.
